This can lead to premature failure of the compressor, the most expensive part of the system. Many times we can spot a part that will fail under heavy use and let you make an informed decision about replacing or not. • Check Freon –. We take the time to use Superheat or Sub-cool method recommended by manufactures.
• Clean Condenser Coil – a clean coil runs more efficiently and costs less to operate.
• Check Capacitors – This part is the most likely to fail. We’ll check the capacitance tolerances.
• Check Contactor – We’ll make sure it functions properly.
• Check Fan Motor – and bearings.
• Check Drains – blow out if we can do it without cutting drain. Offer discount for drain fitting to blow drains if needed.
• Check Temperature Difference Across Evaporator Coil – High temperatures could be the result of a dirty filter or evaporator. Lower temperatures could be caused by low Freon or a duct leak.
